NFP, CPI, FOMC, ECB and BoE release times in IST

By World Macro News ยท Updated 2026-10-26

Most of the biggest moves in forex, gold and the US indices happen in the minutes after a scheduled release. The releases come out at fixed local times, so once you know the pattern you can tell in advance when the market will be busy in India.

How to read actual, forecast and previous

Prices move on the surprise, the gap between actual and forecast, not on whether the number is "good". Strong US jobs or hot inflation usually lift the dollar and Treasury yields and weigh on gold, because they make Fed rate cuts less likely. A miss usually does the opposite. That is a tendency, not a rule: the reaction also depends on what else is in the report and on what the market was already positioned for.

Our reaction archive records what each release actually did to gold, oil, bitcoin, FX and the US indices, and the economic calendar lists this week's events in IST.
